Big 12 Basketball: TCU G Mike Miles suffers injury vs. Arizona St
In one of the late games of the Round of 64 that featured a Big 12 basketball team on the night of March 17, the six-seed TCU Horned Frogs are trying to take care of business against the 11-seed Arizona State Sun Devils out of the PAC-12 South.
Unfortunately for TCU, though, one of its key players suffered an apparent injury right before halftime against Arizona State. With the Horned Frogs trying to take some momentum into the locker room at halftime, TCU saw standout junior guard Mike Miles come up with an apparent lower-body injury right after he had an explosive slam dunk on the Sun Devils.
It was clear on the TV broadcast that Miles suffered what looked like a knee or ankle injury either on the dunk or when he was getting back on defense to contest a three-ball from Arizona State.
Right after the injury became apparent on the court, Miles immediately went toward the hallway to the TCU locker room. But he ended up falling down in pain before he could make it all the way down the runway to the locker room.

It wasn’t long before Miles at least returned to the bench for the Horned Frogs before halftime. We will continue to monitor his status for updates entering halftime.
Moreover, here’s a look at the dunk that Miles threw down on the Sun Devils before he came up hobbling late in the first half.
Miles finished up the first half with 16 points on 4-of-6 shooting from the field and a perfect 2-of-2 from deep. He led TCU in scoring in the first half. Miles is also the leading scorer for the Frogs this season, at a clip of 17.3 points per game.
This is not the first time that Miles has dealt with a lower-body injury. He missed a handful of games earlier in the season after he reportedly (per the Dallas Morning News) sustained a knee injury more than one month ago.
