One of the priority defensive back recruits in the 2024 class that Texas is trending for recently is the talented four-star Lancaster safety Corian Gipson. This blue-chip Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex native defensive back had two On3 RPM picks placed projecting his commitment to Texas in the last couple of weeks alone.

Gideon and the Longhorns made some huge moves in this recruitment since last fall. A couple of successful unofficial trips that Gipson made to the Forty Acres combined with the continued building of this longstanding relationship between him and Texas’ staff have put the Longhorns in a prime position among his top group of schools.

It sounds like Texas really hit a home run on the latest unofficial visit that Gipson made to Austin for the Junior Day weekend in late January. Since the conclusion of that successful unofficial trip to the 40 a couple of months ago, Texas was able to also lock in an official visit with Gibson for the summer.

Gipson is set to officially visit Texas on June 25, which is building up to be a pretty massive weekend on the recruiting trail for Sark and the Longhorns staff.

Texas’ communication with Gipson has remained constant in the last few months. Gipson has recently mentioned that even Coach Sark is communicating with him each week. He’s clearly a top priority for the Longhorns in the 2024 class, and it really sounds like he’s feeling the love from Texas’ staff this offseason.
