This coming weekend is going to be a huge one for the Texas football program. Texas and head coach Steve Sarkisian will be hosting multiple events on the Forty Acres this weekend. Some of the important events include spring practice, the Texas Coaches Clinic, and the second Junior Day of the offseason thus far.

The latter of those three events might wind up being the most important, though, as Sark and the Longhorns staff look to keep moving in the right direction on the recruiting trail for the 2024 class this spring.

Texas’ second Junior Day of the 2023 offseason is set to begin on March 24, with most of the festivities taking place on March 25.

This will be an opportunity for Texas’ coaches to further connect with some of their priority targets on the recruiting trail for the 2024 class. It will be especially important for some of the key position coaches to use this opportunity to continue to build important connections on the recruiting trail.

And there might not be a more critical coach that needs to connect with some of his priority recruits in the 2024 class than new wide receivers coach Chris Jackson. The former Jacksonville Jaguars wide receivers coach has seemingly made a positive impression on the recruiting trail so far this offseason.

But Jackson and the Longhorns must continue to plug away with the top wide receiver targets this spring to really maximize the potential at the position in the 2024 class. With that in mind, here’s a look at three priority 2024 Longhorns recruits impressed by Jackson’s work on the trail since he was hired at Texas a couple of months ago.
