With a little more than two weeks remaining of spring ball, the Texas football program and head coach Steve Sarkisian are drawing close to the annual Orange-White spring football game. On April 15, Texas will show off all the new additions to the program along with some key returning players in the spring game at Darrell K. Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium.

Yet, we still have some important weeks of spring practice to get through before the Orange-White game arrives in mid-April. Texas has shown off a lot of the talent and depth that Sark and his staff have built up in the last couple of years.

Sark and the Longhorns do have a lot of returning experience on both sides of the ball this year, especially on offense. Texas returns a whopping 10 starters on offense and more than half of its starters from last year on the defensive side of the ball.

But the rise of all the impressive underclassmen, and specifically the new enrollees this spring, are what has blown a lot of people in and around the program away. Texas has more than a dozen new additions to the program that have helped to sure up the depth at multiple position groups.

One spot where the Longhorns look to be particularly talented and deep this year is at the wide receiver position. Sark and new wide receivers coach Chris Jackson appears to have a good group that can help elevate this offense this fall.

There are even two new enrollees in this wide receiver room that were recently said to be guys that will be “tough to keep off the field” in 2023. Let’s take a look at those two Longhorns wideouts.
