Texas baseball vs. OU: How to watch the Longhorns on TV this weekend
Head coach David Pierce and No. 14 ranked Texas baseball will look to build their winning streak to three games when they open up a three-game weekend series at home at UFCU Disch-Falk Field in Austin on April 21. Texas has won each of its last two series weekend series in Big 12 play, dating back to a 2-1 series win over the Kansas State Wildcats on April 9.
Pierce and the Longhorns come into the series opener against the Sooners on April 21 sporting a record of 27-12 (8-4 Big 12) following a 20-0 mercy-rule win over the Abilene Christian Wildcats on April 19 at home at the Disch. Texas began its two-game winning streak to cap last weekend’s series win against the Baylor Bears on April 16 on the road in Waco.
Meanwhile, Oklahoma comes into this series with a record of 19-19 (4-8 Big 12) following a convincing 19-8 loss at the hands of the Oklahoma State Cowboys on the road in Stillwater on April 18. Oklahoma has dropped three of its last four games heading into this series against the Longhorns in the Red River Rivalry on the baseball diamond.

Game 3: Texas TBA vs. Oklahoma LHP James Hitt (2-0, 4.25 ERA)
According to Texassports.com, left-hander Lucas Gordon gets the start to open up the series this weekend against Oklahoma. Gordon will be looking for his fifth win on the season, as he still has yet to register a single loss on the campaign.
In his last start, Gordon shut out the Bears in a win on the road on April 14. In fact, Gordon is going on nearly a nine-inning streak without allowing a run, dating back to a win over Kansas State on April 9.
This should be a very winnable series for the Longhorns as these two teams come into the weekend on opposite sides of the Big 12 table. Texas has a slight lead over Kansas State at the top of the Big 12 standings, while Oklahoma is in a tie with Baylor for dead last.
You have to go back to the 2019 season to find the last time that Oklahoma beat Texas in a regular season series. This would be the third year in a row that the Longhorns won the series over the Sooners in Red River on the diamond if it can take this series this weekend.
