Texas Football: Where Bijan Robinson ranked in PFF’s final big board
For the final time before the 2023 NFL Draft on April 27, Texas football fans saw where junior All-American running back Bijan Robinson was ranked on Pro Football Focus’s big board. PFF released the final edition of its 2023 NFL Draft big board late last week, which included Bijan as the top running back in this class.
Bijan ranked at No. 8 on the final PFF big board for the 2023 NFL Draft, which pegs him as the top rusher in this class by a pretty wide margin. The next-highest-rated running back prospect on PFF’s final big board for the 2023 draft is the former Alabama Crimson Tide star Jahmyr Gibbs (No. 34 overall).
It’s also worth noting that Bijan is one of two former Texas running backs that cracked the top half of this list at the position on PFF. Former Texas senior running back Roschon Johnson nearly cracked the top 100 on PFF’s final big board, ringing in as this class’s No. 101 overall prospect. He is also the No. 8 running back on PFF’s big board.
PFF tabs Texas football RB Bijan Robinson a top 10 prospect in the 2023 NFL Draft
It’s pretty common to see Bijan ranked in the top 10 among the “best overall prospects” in the 2023 draft class from the major NFL media outlets. Other major outlets such as ESPN and CBS Sports also have big boards naming Bijan among the top 10 best prospects in this draft class.
Furthermore, it makes sense that PFF is so high on Bijan. The First-Team All-American was the second-highest-graded running back in the nation last season, behind only Michigan’s Blake Corum. Bijan is also the highest-graded rusher to enter the NFL Draft in the last decade, by PFF’s grading standards.
Bijan wound up getting selected in the first round in all but one (four of five, in total) of the most recent expert mock drafts from different PFF writers. He was also literally the only running back selected in the first round in each of those five mocks from PFF writers.
The first day of the 2023 NFL Draft is set for April 27. Bijan is likely going to be the only Longhorn that gets his name called on the first day of the draft. But there are roughly a half-dozen other former Longhorns players that could be selected during the three days of the 2023 draft later this week.
