Texas Longhorns 10th-best first-round NFL draft pick of the last 25 years: Kenny Vaccaro

Free safety
New Orleans Saints: 2013-2017
Tennessee Titans: 2018-2020

As a member of the Texas Longhorns from 2008 to 2012, Kenny Vaccaro made a name for himself as one of the best defensive players in the country. In his final season in Austin, the safety managed to log 92 tackles and two interceptions.

Those performances were good enough that he was the 15th pick in the 2013 NFL Draft. He was originally selected by the New Orleans Saints and had five years where he was indeed one of the most solid safeties in the NFL. After starting 14 games in his rookie season and amassing 79 tackles, he copied that production in his sophomore campaign.

His best season ever came in 2014 when he had 104 tackles, five passes defended and three sacks. It does feel as though things started to go downhill once he reached the highest highs with the Saints that season. He also started to see his body break down just a little bit and never came close to logging 100 tackles in a season again.

After seeing the number of games he could play dip a bit for a couple of years, he signed with the Titans in 2018 and played his final three seasons there.
