Texas baseball is unquestionably one of the best college baseball programs in the history of the sport. Texas has the second most wins of any college baseball program ever, ranking only behind Fordham (which is in the top spot since it’s been on the NCAA record books for more than a whopping 160 seasons).

In terms of College World Series appearances and National Championships, the Longhorns are always up there with the best of them. Texas has the most College World Series appearances (38), College World Series games won (88), and NCAA Tournament appearances (61).

The Longhorns also have the second-most National Championships (six) of any college baseball program.

The massive success that this baseball program has found in its history has obviously produced quite a few great players. That has translated to some former Longhorns finding a lot of success in the MLB going back more than a century.
