Texas Football: 5-Star WR Micah Hudson sets June official visit
Official visit season continues to take shape for Texas football and head coach Steve Sarkisian on the recruiting trail this spring. Texas has nailed down most of the official visits that will take place on the Forty Acres next month. But there are still some top-priority recruits in the 2024 class that are getting their official visit schedules configured for the summer at the moment.
One of the priority targets for the Longhorns in the 2024 class that recently set his official visit to Texas is the elite five-star Temple (TX) Lake Belton wide receiver, Micah Hudson.
The 6-foot and 190-pound in-state wideout reportedly (per On3) set two official visits on May 11. The first of the two official visits for Hudson this summer will be to Lubbock on June 9 to see the Texas Tech Red Raiders.
And then, Texas will reportedly get to host Hudson on an official visit to Austin starting on June 23. That is big news for the Longhorns to get an official visit from Hudson this summer, especially during that big visit weekend in late June.

It also sounds like an official visit to Columbus, OH, to see the Ohio State Buckeyes could be something that Hudson gets scheduled in the near future.
Moreover, Texas and Texas Tech look like the leaders in this recruitment at the moment. Hudson speaks highly of both schools. In particular, he seems to like the coaching situation and the culture that Sark and the Longhorns are building on the 40.
"“It’s really the culture and that’s pretty much what it is. They(‘ve) got a good coaching staff and they may have lost a few people and things like that, but I do like the staff there.”"
Hudson has already visited the 40 a few times since last summer. The first unofficial visit he took to Texas after he received an offer from the Longhorns was almost one year ago (June 11, 2022). He also visited Texas for the first Junior Day of the offseason on Jan. 21, 2023.
Hudson is the top-ranked wide receiver offer in the 2024 class for the Longhorns. He is someone that new wide receivers coach Chris Jackson and the Longhorns are prioritizing with some of the prospects in the 2024 class at the top of their board this offseason.
