Clemson

The most dominant football program in the ACC in the last decade resides in Clemson, SC. Head coach Dabo Swinney and the Clemson Tigers built one of the most formidable college football programs in the entire country since the early 2010s.

Swinney and the Tigers have won seven of the last eight ACC football championships, dating back to the 2015 season. Clemson has also won two National Championships and made it to the College Football Playoff five times since 2015.

There are only a handful of schools around the country that have the same track record of success in football as Clemson. The Georgia Bulldogs and Alabama Crimson Tide are the only two other schools that have won at least two National Championships since 2015 other than Clemson.

If Clemson manages to get out of the ACC in the near future, every power conference would be kicking down their door to try and bring them into the fold. It would seem like an uphill battle for the Big 12 to try and get Clemson in the mix, but the conference’s administration would be foolish not to at least make some type of push for this to happen.
