Texas softball TV schedule: How to watch the Longhorns in the Austin Regional
The Austin Regional gets underway for the eight-seed Texas softball in the postseason, following a solid run in the Big 12 Tournament last week. Texas will begin the Austin Regional at Red & Charline McCombs Field on May 19.
Head coach Mike White and the Longhorns will begin the Austin Regional on May 19, with Game 1 set to take place against the Seton Hall Pirates. The Longhorns carry a record of 42-13-1 (11-7 Big 12) following a loss to the No. 1 Oklahoma Sooners in the Big 12 Tournament final on May 13.
Texas had previously downed the Texas Tech Red Raiders and Kansas Jayhawks to reach the final of the Big 12 Softball Championship last week.
Meanwhile, Seton Hall carries a record of 42-16 (18-6 Big East) into the Austin Regional following a Cinderella run in the Big East Tournament last week. Seton Hall upset the one-seed UConn Huskies and two-seed Villanova Wildcats en route to winning the Big East Tournament crown.
The other two teams in this field for the Austin Regional are the Texas A&M Aggies and Texas State Bobcats. Texas A&M and Texas State will square off in Game 2 of the Austin Regional, on May 19 at 6:30 p.m. CT.

Texas looking to make a run to the Women’s College World Series again in 2023
Standouts Leighann Goode and Mia Scott will be looking to lead the Longhorns back to Oklahoma City for their second Women’s College World Series appearance in a row. Texas came up one game shy of winning the WCWS last season, falling just short of Oklahoma in a three-game set in OKC.
Before Texas can think about making it back to OKC for the second time in as many years, though, it has to focus on taking care of business against some solid competition in the Austin Regional. Seton Hall has a ton of momentum, fresh off a Big East Tournament crown. Texas State and Texas A&M also both rank in the top 40 of the D1 Softball RPI.
If Texas is able to nab the win over Seton Hall on May 19, it will face the winner of Texas State-Texas A&M on May 20. And the winner of the Austin Regional will move on to face the winner of the Knoxville Regional in the Super Regionals, which begin on May 26.
