Texas softball TV schedule: How to watch the Horns in Knoxville Super Regional this weekend
The postseason journey continues for No. 13 Texas softball heading into the weekend in the Knoxville Super Regional against the No. 4 Tennessee Volunteers. Texas will start off the Knoxville Super Regional at Sherri Parker Lee Stadium against the Lady Vols on May 26.
Head coach Mike White and the Longhorns got to this point by sweeping the Austin Regional last weekend, including two wins over the Texas A&M Aggies. Texas also defeated the Seton Hall Pirates in a convincing effort on May 19 in the first game of the Austin Regional, by a score of 8-0 in five innings.
The two wins over the Aggies and the regional opening win over Seton Hall give Texas a record of 45-13-1 (11-7 Big 12) heading into the Knoxville Super Regional.
Tennessee comes into the Knoxville Super Regional sporting a record of 47-8 (19-5 SEC) after it posted a clean sweep in the Knoxville Regional last weekend. Tennessee topped the Indiana Hoosiers twice and the Northern Kentucky Norse once to go undefeated in three games in the Knoxville Regional.
The Lady Vols are red hot coming into super regionals, after winning six straight games dating back to its run in the SEC Tournament. Tennessee not only won the SEC Tournament crown, but it also took the conference’s regular season title back to Knoxville this year.
Texas and Tennessee will open up the Knoxville Super Regional on May 26, with the first pitch time set for 3 p.m. CT. Super regionals are double elimination, so there could be three games (if necessary) played in Knoxville this weekend.

These two teams have faced each other three times in the last four seasons, two of which fell in favor of the Longhorns.
