Among the top in-state wide receiver priorities on the recruiting trail in the 2024 class heading into the summer is the 6-foot-4 and 175-pound Lucas (TX) Lovejoy product Parker Livingstone. Texas has looked the part of the favorite in this recruitment for many months so far this offseason.

Sark, new wide receivers coach Chris Jackson, and the Longhorns have made it clear that Livingstone is one of their top priorities among in-state wideouts in the 2024 class during the spring. Livingstone definitely looks like he’ll have a spot in this class at wide receiver if he wants in this summer.

Sark’s ability to win these key in-state wide receiver recruitments has not been a question in the last couple of cycles. And he’s continued to prove his ability to recruit the position well when he gets his sights set on a key priority on the trail.

It also goes to show how highly the Longhorns regard Livingstone that Jackson is making him a top priority while special teams coordinator/tight ends coach Jeff Banks is also involved in this recruitment. Livingstone was one of the early priorities for Jackson to establish communication with after he was hired to replace Brennan Marion as the wide receivers coach.

And Texas getting Banks involved in this recruitment could put the finishing touches on it assuming the Longhorns are able to knock it out of the park during Livingstone’s official visit to Austin on June 23. He’ll be one of the big official visitors during that immense late-June weekend on the recruiting trail.

Before his official visit to Texas in late June, Livingstone will see the South Carolina Gamecocks (June 2), Arkansas Razorbacks (June 9), and LSU Tigers (June 16). LSU impressed Livingstone on a recent visit that he took unofficially to Baton Rouge during the spring. And South Carolina has established good communication with Livingstone heading into the summer.

As long as Texas can continue to show Livingstone that he is one of their top priorities at the position in the 2024 class throughout his visit schedule this month, I think they can make a move to lock this one down within the next few weeks.

*Update

Livingstone announced on Twitter on the evening of June 1 that he will be announcing on July 1.
