This weekend was one of the biggest for Texas football and head coach Steve Sarkisian in terms of hosting unofficial visitors from the 2025 and 2026 recruiting classes. Texas hosted more than two dozen unofficial visitors from the 2025 and 2026 classes on campus for the Elite Camp, which mainly took place on June 3.

Sark and the Longhorns staff got a bevy of talented recruits to campus this weekend to help shape up the big board for the 2025 and 2026 classes early on. We also got quite a few new offers handed out to rising targets for the Longhorns in the next couple of cycles.

Another important event that took place during this fruitful weekend on the recruiting trail for the Longhorns was the commitment of the highly touted four-star Saraland (AL) quarterback KJ Lacey. Texas got its first commit in the 2025 class in one of the top-five ranked quarterback recruits in the nation in Lacey on June 3.

Lacey’s commitment came as a bit of a surprise for the Longhorns this weekend, as he was figured to be an Alabama Crimson Tide lean throughout the spring. But Sark and quarterbacks coach AJ Milwee continued to work some magic on the trail recruiting the quarterback position for yet another class.

With all of this in mind, here’s a look at six key recruits for the Longhorns that came away from the Elite Camp visit weekend impressed.
