Kamauryn Morgan, EDGE

One of the most recent Texas offers in the 2025 class is the highly touted four-star Red Oak (TX) edge rusher, Kamauryn Morgan. The 6-foot-5 and 230-pound EDGE prospect was offered by the Longhorns on April 28, 2023.

Morgan made his first trip since he was first offered by Texas to the Forty Acres unofficially this weekend for the Elite Camp. And the early returns from this visit seem to be that Morgan loved his trip to Austin over the past 48 hours or so.

Not only was Morgan active on social media in the midst of his trip to campus for the Elite Cammp this weekend, but he was also able to make some good connections with the coaches and other recruits visiting the last couple of days.

On June 4, Horns247 reported (paid content) that Morgan liked the “family atmosphere” and that the “people in the building provided a great first impression of what the program as a whole has to offer”. Texas made a good pitch to Morgan, showing how a lengthy and skilled edge rusher such as himself could have an impact on the Longhorns’ defensive front.

It sounds like Texas made a good initial impression on Morgan and his camp on his first visit to campus this weekend.

Lance Jackson, ATH

Another recent defensive prospect that the Longhorns offered in the 2025 class that made the trip to Austin this weekend for the Elite Camp was the rising blue-chip Texarkana (TX) Pleasant Grove athlete Lance Jackson. The 6-foot-5 and 240-pound versatile in-state athlete Jackson made his second trip to campus in the last few months this weekend, and it sounds like he loved what he saw throughout on June 3.

Jackson told Inside Texas (paid content) this weekend that he “absolutely loved the experience” during the visit and the time he got to spend with co-defensive coordinator Pete Kwiatkowski and special teams coordinator Jeff Banks.

Texas continues to make a good impression on the talented defensive lineman/tight end out of Pleasant Grove High School. The Longhorns are high on his list along with the Arkansas Razorbacks, Texas A&M Aggies, TCU Horned Frogs, and Texas Tech Red Raiders, among a few other P5 schools.
