The top priority wide receiver recruit in the 2025 class for Sark, new wide receivers coach Chris Jackson, and the Longhorns heading into the summer is the elite five-star Duncanville product, Dakorien Moore. The 5-foot-11 and 175-pound South Dallas native and star Duncanville High School wideout had a busy weekend during his multi-day trip to Austin starting on June 2.

Moore got to attend the Elite Camp and the pool party on June 3, along with spending some time with current Texas players such as freshman cornerback Malik Muhammad. He came out of the visit to Texas this weekend by posting that he had “another great weekend with Texas” on social media.

Moore also told Inside Texas after the conclusion of his visit to the Elite Camp on June 4 that “I would say they are at the top of my list”.

Texas clearly knocked this one out of the park, giving Moore the complete experience during his first unofficial visit to Austin of the 2023 offseason. It’s also worth noting that Texas’ chances in this recruitment should only go up with Lacey now in the class.

Harlem Berry, RB

Among the biggest developments at the running back position on the recruiting trail for the Longhorns this weekend was the connection that Choice and the top-ranked running back recruit in the nation in the 2025 class (per On3 and ESPN) made. Texas was able to get the No. 1 2025 running back recruit and Metairie (LA) St. Martin’s Episcopal School product Harlem Berry to campus for his first unofficial visit of the offseason.

Berry reportedly “loved the trip and vibe on the Forty Acres”. It also sounds like he made a good connection with the likes of Choice and cornerbacks coach Terry Joseph this weekend.

Getting Berry to campus to spend some time with Choice and Joseph is big for the Longhorns in this recruitment. But Texas has a real fight on its hands to try and win the top running back prospect out of Louisiana over the in-state giant LSU Tigers.
