A top out-of-state priority at the running back position for running backs coach Tashard Choice and the Longhorns, that is on campus on his official visit as we speak, is the talented four-star Phoenix (AZ) Mountain Pointe product, Christian Clark. The physically gifted and imposing 5-foot-11 and 195-pound Arizona running back Clark is one of the top two targets at the position for Choice and the Longhorns this summer.

Texas is the school that is pushing hardest in this recruitment, as some of the other schools that Clark has visited officially in the last month have shifted their focus elsewhere in terms of running back recruiting in the 2024 class.

And it looks like Texas is in a great spot to shut down this recruitment this weekend if Choice and this staff can continue to impress Clark.

It wouldn’t surprise me if the out-of-state recruiting momentum that Sark and the Longhorns built in the 2024 and 2025 classes in the last few weeks helped in other recruitments.

Moreover, Clark began his multi-day official visit to Texas on June 16. We will continue to look for updates in this recruitment as Clark winds down the official visit in the next 24 hours. For now, though, Clark is a good candidate to be the next to commit to the Longhorns 2024 class, given that he initially came into the weekend on commitment watch.
