Texas Football: 10 key recruits impressed by Longhorns OV weekend
Texas football just wrapped up its first big official visit weekend of June, which began specifically on June 16. Texas and head coach Steve Sarkisian hosted more than 20 official visitors, comprised mainly of priority out-of-state recruits in the 2024 class, from June 16-18.
Sark and the Longhorns staff nabbed two key commitments during the first big official visit weekend of the month. First, Texas landed a pledge from the highly touted four-star Scottsdale (AZ) Desert Mountain cornerback Santana Wilson on June 17.
Wilson is the first pure cornerback to commit to the Longhorns 2024 class.

And then, the Longhorns snagged a commitment from the four-star Spring Branch (TX) Smithson Valley wide receiver Freddie Dubose Jr. on June 18. Dubose is the first wide receiver to commit to the Longhorns 2024 class.
We’ll likely see more commits emerge for the Longhorns in the 2024 class throughout the week ahead of the next round of official visits on the Forty Acres starting June 23. The action is far from done for the Longhorns on the recruiting trail in the coming days and weeks.
Texas has multiple key recruits among the latest round of official visitors on commitment watch this week. The same could be said for the next round of official visitors, mainly comprised of some of the top-priority in-state recruits in the 2024 class.
For now, though, we’re looking at the impressions the Longhorns made on some of the top recruits that made it to campus for official visits last weekend.
