7. Vince Young (2003-2005)

Career stats: 3,127 rushing yards (6.8 YPC), 37 rushing TDs

The only non-running back on this list for the Longhorns is the legendary National Championship-winning dual-threat quarterback Vince Young. The Heisman runner-up in 2005 was electric when running the ball, as proven by his spot among the all-time leading rushers for this program.

Young was ultra-consistent with his production on the ground during his three years at Texas. He was two yards away during the 2003 season from registering at least 1,000 rushing yards in each season of his career at Texas.

Moreover, Young also averaged at least 6.5 yards per carry with double-digit rushing scores in each season he played at Texas. When he took off, it seemed like nothing could stop him. VY had electric speed and elusiveness in the open field, which was embodied during the most famous play of his career when he scored the game-winning TD for the Longhorns to beat the USC Trojans in the 2006 Rose Bowl/BCS National Championship Game.
