Texas football just wrapped up two massive official visit weekends on the recruiting trail in the 2024 class roughly 24 hours ago. Texas hosted roughly 40 official visitors, well over half of which were blue-chip-rated prospects, throughout the last two weekends.

Head coach Steve Sarkisian and the Longhorns kicked off the back-to-back June official visit weekends on June 16, which was more reserved for key out-of-state recruits in the 2024 class. Then, last weekend was meant for some of the top in-state priorities in the 2024 class for the Longhorns, with some key out-of-state prospects mixed in (such as 5-Star RB Jerrick Gibson and 4-Star OT Daniel Calhoun).

These two big official visit weekends culminated in Sark and the Longhorns staff building serious momentum on the recruiting trail in the 2024 class. Texas landed five blue-chip commitments in the 2024 class over seven days in the last two weekends.

The five blue-chip commits the Longhorns landed in the 2024 class in seven days were highlighted by IMG Academy running back Gibson, four-star Phoenix (AZ) Mountain Pointe running back Christian Clark, and four-star Scottsdale (AZ) Desert Mountain cornerback Santana Wilson.

Big decision dates to watch for Texas football in July

While the last two weeks were big on the recruiting trail for the Longhorns 2024 class, the action for this cycle is far from over for the summer. Here’s a look at four key July decision dates to watch for top recruits in the 2024 class for the Longhorns.

Parker Livingstone, WR

Commitment Date: July 1

The top wide receiver recruit for the Longhorns in the 2024 class officially visiting last weekend was the touted four-star Lucas (TX) Lovejoy product, Parker Livingstone. The priority boundary receiver out of the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex had a successful official visit to Texas last weekend.

All indications point to Livingstone being a heavy Texas lean after an official visit that went about as well as possible. Livingstone is likely to soon become the second wide receiver to commit to the Longhorns 2024 class, along with four-star Spring Branch (TX) Smithson Valley product Freddie Dubose Jr.
