The other big scheduled commitment involving the Longhorns and a priority target in the 2024 class on July 1 is four-star Lucas (TX) Lovejoy wide receiver Parker Livingstone. The 6-foot-4 and 175-pound boundary receiver will decide between Texas and the South Carolina Gamecocks on July 1.

Texas and South Carolina are the two schools Livingstone visited officially in June. He made his Texas official visit last weekend and saw South Carolina on the weekend of June 2.

New wide receivers coach Chris Jackson and the Longhorns staff have formed great relationships in this recruitment. Jackson connected with Livingstone quickly after he was hired to replace Brennan Marion as the new wide receivers coach early this offseason.

As is the case with Johnson-Rubell, nothing we’re hearing would contradict Texas being the decision for Livingstone upon his announcement on July 1. We fully expect Livingstone to be the second wide receiver to commit to the Longhorns 2024 class after four-star Spring Branch (TX) Smithson Valley product Freddie Dubose Jr. on June 18.

With Texas likely taking three scholarship wide receivers from the high school ranks in the 2024 class, commitments from Livingstone and Dubose leave one more spot open, which we hope will be filled by five-star St. Louis University (MO) wideout Ryan Wingo.
