College basketball season is still a few months away. In the meantime, talking about the biggest brands and best/most iconic uniforms in college hoops is a good way to pass the time.
Uniforms in college sports are always a hot topic. And while the uniform design and tradition aren’t as prominent in college hoops as in college football, it is still an important aspect of a program’s image and brand recognition.
This ranking of the best uniforms in college hoops is based on three major factors: simplicity, recognizability, and uniqueness. Creativity and consistency throughout the uniform design are also taken into account.

Georgetown Hoyas
The Georgetown Hoyas have some of the most iconic uniforms in the history of college hoops. The Allen Iverson-era Georgetown grays and navy uniforms are quintessential in college hoops.

The Tennessee orange uniforms perfectly represent the Vols’ brand simply and cleanly. Tennessee’s white unis, with the “Vols” script above the number, compliments the orange uniform nicely.

The traditional green and white Michigan State uniforms are staples in college hoops. Michigan State’s traditional unis are recognizable with the “Spartans” font atop the number and the big Spartan logo on the shorts. Nothing is overdone on these.

The Seton Hall Pirates have some of the most underrated uniforms in college hoops. The colorway is clean, and the “Seton Hall” script looks great.

Although not as iconic as their football uniforms, Texas basketball still has some of the cleanest designs of any uniform in college hoops. The white and burnt orange uniforms are straightforward and perfectly represent the enormous Longhorns brand.
