Texas football is one of the winningest programs in college football history. Texas ranks fifth all-time in program wins, with 936. It also ranks seventh among all FBS programs in all-time record/win percentage, at 936-390-33 (.701 winning percentage).

Throughout the program’s 121 years playing college football, Texas has more than proven its blue-blood label. Texas has struggled in the last decade, but third-year head coach Steve Sarkisian looks to have the program trending in the right direction as they’re set to join the SEC next season.

If Texas can close out its run in the Big 12 this fall with a conference title, that would go a long way to proving that the Longhorns are back to a nationally competitive state heading into the SEC.

FBS programs Texas football has faced but never defeated

Moreover, given the Longhorns’ storied track record throughout the program’s history, there aren’t many teams that consistently got the best of Texas more than the other way around. Texas has a winning record against every single one of the FBS conferences.

And the Longhorns boast winning records against over 80 percent of the opponents it’s faced in program history. Only two FBS programs have over five wins and a winning record against the Longhorns (Notre Dame Fighting Irish and Vanderbilt Commodores). Since Texas is moving to join the SEC in 2024, the losing record to Vanderbilt probably won’t hold much longer.

But there are some programs that Texas has only faced once or a handful of times that are undefeated against the Longhorns. Here’s a look at those programs Texas has faced but never beaten in the FBS.
