Texas football and head coach Steve Sarkisian are after another elite group of skill prospects in the 2025 recruiting class. Texas is prioritizing an elite group of high four-star and five-star in-state wide receiver recruits in the 2025 class and a couple of the top-five highest-rated running back recruits.

Sark and the Longhorns staff are making it easy to appeal to top skill recruits in the 2025 class after landing a commitment from the highly touted four-star Saraland (AL) quarterback KJ Lacey. Building a foundation around one of the top quarterback recruits in the 2025 class will attract many top wide receivers, running backs, and tight ends in this cycle.

It also helps that some of the early impact recruits in the 2025 class will play with so many skilled and potent “big humans” that will man the offensive line for OL coach Kyle Flood and the Longhorns many years into the future. And there is a chance they could play with the top-rated quarterback recruit in the nation in the 2023 class, Isidore Newman product Arch Manning.

The crop of skill talent on offense in the 2025 class is more akin to the 2023 cycle for the Longhorns. If the Longhorns can seal the deal with at least half of its early top-priority blue-chip recruits in the 2025 class in the next 12 or 18 months, it will potentially get another top-three-ranked class in the nation.

And it appears the Longhorns are already on the right track with a couple of the top skill recruits in the nation in the 2025 class. Here’s a look at two top-priority 2025 skill recruits the Longhorns are trending for this summer.
