Texas Football: 3 top recruits impressed by Colin Simmons’ commitment
Dakorien Moore, WR
The elite five-star 2025 Duncanville wide receiver Dakorien Moore was clearly going to be watching what happened with his teammates during their announcement ceremony on Aug. 10. Moore was present to see four-star Duncanville running back Caden Durham, and Simmons make their respective commitments this afternoon.
247Sports national recruiting analyst Mike Roach caught Moore front and center in the bleachers at the commitment ceremony on Aug. 10.
Given that Texas and LSU are two of the top schools in this recruitment early in the 2025 cycle, it made sense that Moore was watching the commitments of Durham and Simmons with a keen eye. After Simmons committed to Texas this afternoon, Moore reposted the commitment graphic with the eye emojis on his IG story.
It has to help Texas’ cause in the race to land a commitment from Moore early in the cycle that he has multiple Duncanville teammates committed to the Longhorns 2024 class (Simmons and 4-Star DL Alex January).
However, Texas was one of the top schools for Moore before two of his teammates at Duncanville committed to the Longhorns in the 2024 class this summer. He loves what Sark and new wide receivers coach Chris Jackson are building in the Texas wide receiver room upon the move to the SEC in 2024.
