Phoenix (AZ) Mountain Pointe vs. Surprise (AZ) Valley Vista

The touted and versatile four-star Phoenix (AZ) Mountain Pointe running back/Texas commit Christian Clark gets his senior season underway on Aug. 25 against the Surprise (A) Valley Vista Monsoon. Kickoff time between Mountain Pointe and Valley Vista is 7 p.m. CT.

Clark is looking to get off to a fast start this season for Mountain Pointe after posting more than 700 rushing yards and double-digit touchdowns during his junior campaign.

Mountain Pointe got the best of Valley Vista when these two teams met in the opener last season by a commanding score of 49-14. Given the score in last year’s game, this looks like a big opportunity for Clark to get off to a good start to his senior season.

Mountain Pointe finished last season with a record of 8-4 (3-1 Section, 6A Central). Meanwhile, Valley Vista finished the 2022 campaign with a record of 7-4 (4-0 Section, 6A West Valley).
