After an explosive start to the 2023 season, four-star Texas football wide receiver commit and Lucas (TX) Lovejoy product Parker Livingstone suffered an unfortunate setback due to injury. Jason Suchomel of Orangebloods reported on Sep. 8 (subscriber content) that Livingstone “will likely miss extended time after suffering a foot injury” last week.

Livingstone was reportedly seen in a walking boot on the sideline after leaving the game for Lovejoy against Argyle (TX) on Aug. 31. It’s worth noting that there isn’t a confirmed timeline yet for Livingstone to return from this reported foot injury.

Texas football 4-Star WR commit Parker Livingstone suffers reported foot injury in Lovejoy’s Week 2 win

Lovejoy came up with the win over Argyle in a non-district matchup for the Leopards, by a commanding score of 42-14. The Leopards are off to a hot start this season, downing College Station and Argyle by a combined margin of 41 points. The Lovejoy offense has led the way for this team the last couple of weeks, posting a whopping 92 points in the first two games of the 2023 season.

Livingstone’s massive Week 1 performance for the Leopards in a 50-37 win over College Station was a big reason for Lovejoy’s overwhelming offensive output early this season. He had a career game in the win over College Station a couple of weeks ago, with over 300 total yards and four total touchdowns.

Livingstone suffers unfortunate foot injury after an explosive start to his senior season

It’s a shame to see the timing of this injury after the insane start that Livingstone had to his senior season. He was bound to be one of the biggest risers in the national recruiting rankings for the 2024 class this fall with the trajectory he was on after the season opener against College Station.

We will monitor this situation with Livingstone for any updates concerning his injury timeline in the coming days and weeks.
