Week 2 of the 2023 college football season has arrived, which means the set of ESPN College GameDay is off to another location for a big-time game this weekend. In Week 2, ESPN College GameDay will be in Tuscaloosa, AL, for the massive non-conference showdown between the No. 11 Texas Longhorns and No. 3 Alabama Crimson Tide.

Texas is looking to avenge its narrow 20-19 loss to Alabama in the front end of this home-and-home series at DKR in Austin last season. The Tide hit a late game-winning field goal on its final drive to escape Austin with a one-point win over the Longhorns when these two teams met in Week 2 last season.

Head coach Steve Sarkisian and the Longhorns come into this matchup with a record of 1-0 (0-0 Big 12) after a closer-than-expected 37-10 win over the Rice Owls on Sep. 2 at home at Darrell K. Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium.

Alabama is coming off an impressive 56-7 win at home at Bryant-Denny Stadium on Sep. 2 over the Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders, giving head coach Nick Saban’s squad a record of 1-0 (0-0 SEC) heading into Week 2.
