One of the recent big-time additions to the visitor list for the Longhorns for the Wyoming game this weekend is the No. 1 wide receiver recruit in California in the 2025 class in the 247Sports Composite, Santa Ana (CA) Mater Dei’s Marcus Harris. A top-50 recruit in the nation in the 2025 class in the 247Sports Composite and On3 Industry Ranking, Harris is one of Texas’ top out-of-state priorities at wide receiver early in that cycle.

Harris announced on Twitter/X on Sep. 12 that he will unofficially visit Texas for the Wyoming game this weekend. This will be Harris’ first return visit to Austin since he made the trip on the week of the late July pool party/BBQ on July 25.

Harris visited Texas with a few of his Mater Dei teammates on July 25, including the No. 1 running back recruit in the 2025 class, Jordon Davison.

Texas is one of the schools Harris has visited most since last summer. He’s visited Texas four times since last offseason, tied for the most of any school that’s offered him.

Dakorien Moore, WR

The most pleasant surprise among the 2025 visitors for the Longhorns for the Wyoming game this weekend is the elite five-star Duncanville wide receiver, and LSU Tigers commit Dakorien Moore. The No. 2 wide receiver recruit in the 2025 class in the 247Sports Composite and On3 Industry Ranking is Texas’ top in-state priority at the position for that cycle.

Moore is taking his first visit this weekend since he committed to LSU on Aug. 12. Moore’s commitment to LSU hasn’t stopped Sark and new wide receivers coach Chris Jackson from taking their foot off the gas in this recruitment. In fact, it might’ve had the opposite effect.

Since Moore committed to LSU, he’s put on a show for the top high school football team in Texas and one of the best in the country, the Duncanville Panthers. He’s looked the part of the type of elite wideout recruit that would be a perfect fit for Sark’s offensive scheme.

Texas showed Moore what this offense can do against elite competition when its firing on all cylinders last weekend in the win over Alabama on the road. That win over Bama clearly caught Moore’s attention.

Texas can make another big impression on Moore with a solid performance against a Wyoming defense that limited Texas Tech in the second half and overtime in an upset win in Laramie two weeks ago.
