Ryan Wingo, WR

Last weekend, the elite five-star St. Louis University (MO) wide receiver Ryan Wingo was the most important visitor on campus for the Longhorns for the Wyoming game. The No. 2 wide receiver recruit in the nation in the 2024 class in the 247Sports Composite made his first trip to campus since his June official visit.

Steve Wiltfong of 247Sports reported on Sep. 16 that Wingo spent time with Sark and the staff and that his family accompanied him on the visit.

Wingo reportedly had a “tremendous unofficial visit” for the Wyoming game last weekend. Five-star Texas edge rusher commit and Duncanville product Colin Simmons was mentioned as Wingo’s “biggest recruiter” during his time on the 40.

CJ Vogel of TFB Texas reported after the game (donor content) that it will “be very difficult for anyone to top Texas in this race” for Wingo after his successful unofficial trip to Austin last weekend.

Wingo will likely visit Columbia to see the Mizzou Tigers for a game before he’s ready to announce. And it wouldn’t surprise me if he ends up in Austin again before he arrives at a decision.

Marcus Harris, WR

It’s crazy how much wide receiver talent from the 2024 and 2025 classes was on campus for the Texas-Wyoming game last weekend. Among the many talented 2025 wide receiver recruits for the Longhorns visiting for the Wyoming game was California’s No. 1 WR recruit in the 2025 class, Santa Ana (CA) Mater Dei high-four-star Marcus Harris.

Harris visited Texas unofficially last weekend for the first time since he made the trip on the week of the late July pool party/BBQ with some of his Mater Dei teammates on July 25. He made the trip with his mom to Texas on Sep. 16.

The returns from this visit roughly 48 hours after are very positive. Harris reportedly has developed a great relationship with Jackson, noting they are “clicking in a big way”.

Harris also said after the game that the “atmosphere was crazy” at DKR. He also said he “had a lot of fun with the recruits and the coaching staff”.
