Sep. 22: Duncanville vs. Cedar Hill

Two important Texas commits along the defensive front in the 2024 class, five-star edge rusher Colin Simmons and four-star defensive lineman Alex January, are wreaking havoc up front for opposing offensive lines for Duncanville through four games this season. Duncanville has dominated its way to an undefeated 3-0 (1-0 District) record to start the 2023 season.

Duncanville’s last two games are some of its most dominant efforts this season. Simmons and the Panthers handled Rockledge (FL) in an out-of-state dual at home on Sep. 2 by a score of 44-0. Duncanville had an even more dominant outing on Sep. 15 to open district play against Mansfield (TX) Lake Ridge.

The Panthers defeated Lake Ridge by a whopping score of 76-0.

Simmons was magnificent up front for Duncanville in that insane 76-point win last week. He registered 4.5 tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks, and three quarterback pressures. Lake Ridge was Simmons’s most productive game rushing the passer this season.

Duncanville looks to stay undefeated in its first home district game of the season on Sep. 22 against 1-3 Cedar Hill. The Cedar Hill Longhorns have struggled out of the gates this season, losing its last two games, including the district opener on Sep. 15 at home to Waxahachie.

Simmons and January could be looking at big outings against Cedar Hill on Sep. 22.
