Jordon Davison, RB

Any time the offensive tackle that blocks for you in high school commits somewhere that can always make an impression on a top running back recruit like 2025 Santa Ana (CA) Mater Dei five-star Jordon Davison.

The No. 2 running back recruit in the nation in the 2025 class in the 247Sports Composite was already a top priority at the position this cycle for RB coach Tashard Choice and the Longhorns. Now that his teammate, Baker, is committed to Texas, the prospect of following suit and pledging to the Longhorns is much more appealing for Davison.

After Baker committed to Texas on Sep. 24, Davison responded to the graphic commitment post saying, “talk to me B”.

Davison also re-posted Baker’s commitment graphic on Instagram.

It’s obviously a big deal that Sark and the Longhorns staff are building such an impressive pipeline recruiting from Mater Dei High School. In the last couple of cycles, Texas has now landed commitments from Mater Dei tight end Spencer Shannon in the 2023 class and Baker in the 2024 class.

Davison already had Texas high on his list after building a great relationship with Sark and Choice over the course of multiple visits to Austin since the summer. Add in Baker committing to the Longhorns 2024 class, and Texas gives Davison yet another reason to be interested in coming to the 40.
