Texas’ top in-state offensive tackle priority in the 2025 class is the elite Lewisville five-star Michael Fasusi. The top-ranked offensive tackle recruit in Texas in the 2025 class in the 247Sports Composite and On3 Industry Ranking is considered leaning toward the Longhorns and Sooners early in his recruitment.

Since late spring, Fasusi has visited Texas more than any other school. The last visit Fasusi took to Texas was for the Red River Rivalry game against Oklahoma at the Texas State Fairgrounds in Dallas on Oct. 7. He also visited for the Wyoming game at DKR on Sep. 16.

Offensive line coach/offensive coordinator Kyle Flood has done a fantastic job as Texas’ leading recruiter with Fasusi. We mentioned a report late in the summer that said the Longhorns are “coming on strong” for Fasusi.

Horns247 reported on Oct. 9 (paid content) that the Longhorns “are pushing the right buttons” in Fasusi’s recruitment in the last few months. If Flood and the Longhorns keep their foot on the gas with Fasusi, Texas will have a great chance to beat Oklahoma in this recruitment.

Early in the 2025 recruiting cycle, Fasusi is the prized recruiting target for the Longhorns along the offensive line. Flood and the Longhorns are also prioritizing DeSoto three-star Byron Washington and Dickinson three-star Tyler Thomas among their top in-state offensive tackle targets in the 2025 class this fall.
