Terry Bussey, ATH (Texas A&M commit)

The No. 1 athlete recruit in the nation in the 2024 class in the 247Sports Composite, Timpson (TX) five-star and Texas A&M commit Terry Bussey, was clearly impressed by Wingo’s commitment to Texas on Oct. 25. Bussey posted on Twitter/X on Oct. 25 congratulating Wingo on his pledge to the Longhorns by quoting the post of his commitment graphic.

Bussey said “my guy” while tagging Wingo in that Twitter/X post.

The talented in-state athlete Bussey committed to Texas A&M over the Oklahoma Sooners, Alabama Crimson Tide, LSU, and Texas on Sep. 28. Bussey visited Texas officially during the summer (in June), but there wasn’t much traction with him and the Longhorns in the last few months.

The same can’t be said for Bussey and LSU, though. Despite committing to Texas A&M less than a month ago, Bussey visited Baton Rouge to see LSU beat the SEC West foe Auburn Tigers at Tiger Stadium a couple of weekends ago. That is Bussey’s second visit to LSU in as many months.

LSU continues to put the heat on the Aggies as head coach Brian Kelly and his staff work to flip Bussey’s commitment from Texas A&M a couple of months before signing day in mid-December.
