KJ Lacey, QB (UT commit)

For the first time this fall, the highly touted four-star Saraland (AL) quarterback and Texas commit KJ Lacey made a gameday visit to Austin to see the Longhorns play. And the early returns from Lacey’s first unofficial visit to Austin to see the Longhorns play at DKR since he committed to Texas in early June sound positive.

Immediately following Texas’ win over BYU on Oct. 28, Lacey posted the final score on the scoreboard on his Instagram story with a horns up hand sign emoji.

It was great for Sark and the Longhorns to get Lacey to campus for an unofficial visit on a gameday where there were so many other top wide receiver recruits from his class also making the trip to Austin. Lacey connected with other top wide receiver recruits visiting Texas this weekend, such as Marsh, Watson, and San Diego (CA) Lincoln four-star Dreyden Garner.

D’antre Robinson, DL (UT commit)

Texas had a handful of commitments from the 2024 class on campus this weekend for the double-digit win over BYU. Among those Texas commits from the 2024 class visiting Austin this weekend was the touted four-star Orlando (FL) Jones defensive lineman D’antre Robinson.

Robinson made his second gameday visit to Texas this fall for the BYU game on Oct. 28. He was active on social media this weekend during his visit to Austin. Robinson posted on his IG story during the Texas-BYU game, saying, “let’s do it!” with the horns up hand sign.

Robinson also posted a vlog for his gameday visit to Texas this weekend. He’s usually busy on social media recording and uploading vlogs like the one he did for this gameday trip on Oct. 28.

After he took an abrupt unofficial visit to Gainesville to watch head coach Billy Napier and the Florida Gators last month, Robinson looks like he’s pretty locked-in with his commitment to Texas. Florida continues to pursue him on the recruiting trail a couple of months before the first signing day in mid-December. But Robinson has maintained in the last few weeks that he’s happy with his commitment to the Longhorns.
