No. 18 Texas basketball opens up the 2023-24 regular season at home at the Moody Center in Austin on Nov. 6 against the Incarnate Word Cardinals. Under the direction of new full-time head coach Rodney Terry, Texas has high expectations after a magical postseason where this team made it to the Elite Eight last season.

Texas not only made its deepest postseason run in over a decade last season, but Terry also led this team to a Big 12 Tournament crown. Terry and the Longhorns finished last season with a record of 29-9 (12-6 Big 12) and ranked fifth in the final AP Poll.

The Longhorns have many new faces on the roster this season, including big-time transfers such as the former Oral Roberts senior guard Max Abmas, Virginia redshirt junior center Kadin Shedrick, and UT-Arlington freshman guard Chendall Weaver. But there will also be some familiar faces back with the Longhorns this season, including junior guard Tyrese Hunter, senior big man Dylan Disu, sophomore forward Dillon Mitchell, and super senior forward Brock Cunningham.

Texas has Big 12 title expectations entering the 2023-24 season after landing in third place in the Big 12 media preseason poll.

When the Longhorns open the regular season at the Moody Center in Austin on Nov. 6, the game will be broadcast live on Longhorn Network. This is the final season of Texas having games broadcast live on the Longhorn Network, as the channel will dissolve when the Longhorns leave the Big 12 for the SEC next summer.

The season opener against Incarnate Word is one of a dozen games during the 2023-24 regular season for the Longhorns that will be broadcast live on Longhorn Network.
