Texas Football: 3-Star Baylor DT commit visited for UT vs. Texas Tech
Texas football ended up hosting a huge group of visiting recruits from the 2024, 2025, and 2026 classes for the dominant 57-7 smashing of head coach Joey McGuire and the Texas Tech Red Raiders in the regular season finale at DKR in Austin on Nov. 24. Texas and head coach Steve Sarkisian hosted in the ballpark of five-dozen visiting recruits from multiple classes as they put on an impressive performance in the final Big 12 regular season game at DKR on Black Friday.
Quite a few of the visitors who made it to Austin to witness Texas down Texas Tech by 50 points at DKR on Black Friday weren’t on the visitor list earlier in the week. One of the biggest visitors that falls into that category is three-star Greenville (MS) St. Joseph defensive lineman and Baylor Bears commit Alex Foster.
Inside Texas reported on Nov. 25 that Foster made it to campus for Texas’ win over Texas Tech at DKR on Nov. 24. This is the first time Foster has visited Texas since the Longhorns offered him on Oct. 10.

Foster’s trip is reportedly a two-day unofficial visit to Texas, which he made with his mom and grandmother. He is a top flip target out-of-state along the defensive line for DL coach Bo Davis and the Longhorns this fall.
Foster among a group of priority DL flip targets for Texas in the 2024 class
The 6-foot-5 and 250-pound defensive lineman from Mississippi has good physical tools and high upside. He is viewed among the defensive line targets for the Longhorns that could round out the numbers at the position in the 2024 class heading into signing day on Dec. 20.
Texas is also targeting four-star IMG Academy product and Auburn Tigers commit TJ Lindsey and four-star Mississippi State Bulldogs commit Terrance Hibbler among their top flip targets along the defensive line in the 2024 class this fall.
