Jerrick Gibson, RB (UT commit)

Texas’ highest-rated running back commit in the 2024 class, IMG Academy high-four-star Jerrick Gibson and his teammates were locked in for the Longhorns’ Big 12 title game win and the selection show from the Playoff committee. Gibson was active on social media during the weekend.

Following Texas’s convincing win over Oklahoma State in the Big 12 title game on Dec. 2, Gibson showed his recognition to redshirt sophomore running back Jonathon Brooks with a post on Instagram. Sarkisian let Brooks get in the game on the final snap, where he got a toss from Arch Manning to close out the win over Oklahoma State to win the Big 12 title.

Gibson also posted his reaction to the news that Texas got in the Playoff on Dec. 3 on Instagram with a fire emoji.

Andrew Marsh, WR

The elite five-star Fulshear (TX) Katy Jordan wide receiver is a top priority in-state for Sark and the Longhorns in the 2025 class. The No. 5 wide receiver recruit in the nation in the 2025 class in the 247Sports Composite likes what he’s seen from the Longhorns this fall, including multiple successful visits for Texas gamedays.

Marsh said the Playoff nod for the Longhorns was “well deserved” and that it is something that the staff and players have worked hard for a long time. He also mentioned that he thinks the semifinal game against Washington will be a good one with how good both offenses are.
