Priority 4-Star 2025 Texas football TE target Emaree Winston announces mid-December commitment date
Special teams coordinator/tight ends coach Jeff Banks, running backs coach Tashard Choice, and the Longhorns have made Winston a top priority among offensive recruits in the 2025 class this fall.
He’s visited Texas twice unofficially for gamedays this season. Winston’s last gameday trip to Texas was for the matchup on Nov. 4 at DKR in Austin against the No. 23 Kansas State Wildcats.
Winston also visited Texas for the Red River Rivalry game at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas on Oct. 7 against the Oklahoma Sooners.
A couple of months ago, Winston told Horns247 that he likes how the Longhorns use their tight ends in Sark’s offense and sees a chance to make an early impact in Austin.
"“I know I can go in early and play with JT leaving. I talk to JT a lot actually. He just tells me he loves it. This is the place to be.”"
Texas has long been considered one of Winston’s top schools throughout the recruiting process. He has great relationships with Banks and the rest of the Texas staff. And the Longhorns have made it known that he is a priority target for them at a position of need in the 2025 class at tight end.
