3 commitments Texas can get on signing day
Kellen Wiley, LB
Announcement time: 9 a.m. CT on Dec. 4
In the span of just one hour in the morning of the first signing day on Dec. 4, Texas is targeting decisions from two blue-chip recruits in the 2025 class. Roughly 45 minutes after Terry announces at Alamo Heights on Wednesday morning, the highly touted four-star Tampa (FL) Armwood linebacker Kellen Wiley will decide.
Wiley announced on social media earlier this week that he will be announcing his signing-day decision on his Instagram page on Dec. 4 at 9 a.m. CT.
Texas has been the trendy pick in this recruitment for Wiley early this week. Since his successful official visit to Texas for the win over the Florida Gators on Nov. 9, Wiley's interest in Austin and the Longhorns has steadily increased.
With some of the other Florida schools involved in this recruitment apparently not pushing as hard for Wiley as the Longhorns have in the past few weeks, all signs point to Texas entering his decision date on Wednesday morning of the first signing day.
If the Longhorns do land Wiley's commitment when he announces later this morning on the first signing day, he would be the third linebacker pledge in Texas's 2025 class. Texas's current linebacker commits for 2025 are Dallas (TX) Skyline high-four-star Elijah "Bo" Barnes and Fort Worth (TX) North Crowley three-star Jonathan Cunningham.
