Wide receiver recruiting will be a focal point of the top position groups Texas football and head coach Steve Sarkisian will have on campus for spring and summer official visits this offseason in the coming few months.
Out-of-state wide receiver recruiting highlights recent Texas football official visit dates scheduled for the 2026 cycle
The big board for the wide receiver position for the Longhorns on the recruiting trail for the 2026 class is starting to come together early this offseason, with multiple highly touted out-of-state targets making up the top priorities for Sarkisian and wide receivers coach Chris Jackson this cycle.
Here's a look at three key wide receiver priority recruits for the Longhorns in the 2026 class who set official visits to see Texas this summer.
Kayden Dixon-Wyatt, Santa Ana (CA) Mater Dei
Four-star California wide receiver Kayden Dixon-Wyatt has long been viewed as one of Texas's top out-of-state wideout targets for the 2026 class. Dixon-Wyatt has visited Texas multiple times unofficially in the past couple of years.
Jackson is an alumni of Mater Dei High School, giving him a valuable connection to the football program for top recruits at the position like Dixon-Wyatt.
Texas has recruited Mater Dei High School is Southern California effectively in the past few cycles. Offensive tackle Brandon Baker and tight end Spencer Shannon highlight some of Texas's players among the Mater Dei alum from recent recruiting cycles for the Longhorns.
On3's Chad Simmons reported on Feb. 20 that Dixon-Wyatt will take his official visit to Texas from June 13-15. He's also got official visits set to see the Alabama Crimson Tide (May 16), Ohio State Buckeyes (May 31), USC Trojans (June 6), and Oregon Ducks (June 20) this spring and summer on the trail.

The summer official visit for Burroughs will be a crucial point of his recruitment for the Longhorns, since he wasn't able to make it to Austin for his Junior Day visit in late January.
The No. 10 wide receiver recruit in the nation in the 2026 class in the On3 Industry Ranking will take his Texas official visit in late June (from June 20-22).

Elite high-four-star Louisiana wide receiver Jabari Mack has been a frequent visitor at Texas since last offseason. He's visited Texas more than any other school since early last fall. Mack's most recent trip to Texas was an unofficial visit for the first big Junior Day of the offseason on Jan. 25.
Mack recently told On3 that the Texas A&M Aggies, LSU Tigers, Ohio State, and Texas are the four schools standing out to him in his recruitment early this offseason. Mack has an official visit date scheduled to see Austin and the Longhorns on June 14.
Jackson and the Longhorns were one of the first P4 schools to offer Mack back in the summer of 2023. Terry Joseph is also involved in this recruitment for the Longhorns, with his connections in the state of Louisiana, since he was Destrehan's defensive coordinator in the early-to-mid 2000s a couple of decades ago.
