Logan Parr, G (SMU)
The SMU Mustangs are in the College Football Playoff for the first time in program history in their inaugural season playing in the ACC. SMU went 11-2 in the regular season, clinching the 11-seed in the 12-team College Football Playoff.
Head coach Rhett Lashlee has brought in multiple former Texas transfers to his roster that nearly won the ACC Championship against Clemson.
Parr is the heart and soul of the SMU offensive line. But he's facing a tough test on the road in the first round of the College Football Playoff against the six-seed Penn State Nittany Lions in a raucous environment in front of 100K+ Nittany Lion fans at Beaver Stadium.
Penn State's defensive line has the size advantage against SMU's offensive line in the trenches in the raucous Big Ten environment at Happy Valley.
SMU has been successful all season running the football and generating explosive plays. Parr, SMU's highest-graded run blocker in 2023 (per PFF), and the experienced Mustang offensive line have paved the way for the third-most explosive rushing offense in the ACC.
