During the 2022 offseason, wide receiver Isaiah Neyor was the prized get for the Longhorns' in the receiving corps from that transfer portal cycle from Wyoming. Neyor and quarterback Quinn Ewers found immediate chemistry on their long touchdown pass for the Longhorns during the Orange-White spring game in the 2022 offseason.

Injuries unfortunately limited Neyor's impact on Texas's offense in the receiving game. He transferred to another P4 school to earn a starting job with the Nebraska Cornhuskers and with new highly touted freshman quarterback Dylan Raiola this fall.

Neyor's veteran presence for Nebraska's receiving corps has been important in helping develop their younger wideouts for that position group. He and fellow veteran wideout transfer Jahmal Banks have been the two most consistent receivers for the freshman Raiola and the Huskers.

The journey Neyor had at Texas since 2022 has helped him as head coach Matt Rhule has rebuilt the Nebraska program this fall. Neyor experienced what it was like for the Longhorns to win the Big 12 Championship Game and make the program's first-ever appearance in the College Football Playoff in 2023.

Nebraska can reach bowl eligibility for the first time under Rhule this week potentially over UCLA.
