The first SEC-mandated injury report shed light on the statuses of key injured Texas football players coming out of the bye week and heading into the Week 11 matchup against the Florida Gators. Texas could be getting multiple key starters back on each side of the ball this week against Florida.

Texas football could get a couple of key starters back from injuries vs. Florida

Texas comes into Week 11 in much better shape injury-wise than the Gators. Not only did head coach Billy Napier and the Gators lose senior quarterback Graham Mertz to a season-ending ACL tear a few weeks ago, but they also lost their backup quarterback last week in the World's Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party against the Georgia Bulldogs.

In the second quarter against Georgia, true freshman dual-threat quarterback DJ Lagway suffered a lower-body injury that knocked him out for the rest of the game. Florida has multiple starters and key contributors on the two-deep depth chart listed as "out" or "questionable" for Week 11 against Texas.

Here are three key injury updates for the Longhorns heading into the Florida game at DKR in Austin on Nov. 9.

Isaiah Bond, WR

Junior wide receiver Isaiah Bond looks like he is on track to return to the Longhorns for the first time since Georgia in mid-October, for the Florida game this weekend. Bond missed Texas's 27-24 win over the No. 25 Vanderbilt Commodores on the road on Oct. 26, due to an ankle injury he sustained in the first half against the Oklahoma Sooners in the Red River Rivalry game on Oct. 12.

Bond is listed with a status of "probable" on the Wednesday injury report for Texas. He is expected to get the start for the Longhorns for the Florida game this weekend after getting the bye week to rest up the injured ankle.

Ranking second on the team in receiving yards (380) and receiving touchdowns (four), Bond is one of the top targets at the skill positions for quarterback Quinn Ewers.
