Caleb Chester, CB

Three-star Missouri City (TX) Fort Bend Marshall cornerback Caleb Chester was Texas's first defensive back commitment in the 2025 class last offseason. Chester was a major priority for the Longhorns on the recruiting trail for this cycle since early last offseason, which made for a decision that went in Texas's favor with Chester's commitment to the Burnt Orange over the LSU Tigers and Texas A&M Aggies in mid-June.

Chester joins five-star Texas defensive back signee Kade Phillips as the two talented Longhorns' secondary commits from Missouri City, TX, around the Houston area.

The lengthy 6-foot-2 and 175-pound corner from Southeast Texas has a good wingspan, solid top-end speed, and quick hips. He's a versatile defensive back who Texas can utilize in different matchups against bigger receivers in man coverage assignments on defense.

His combination of length, man coverage skills, and speed makes Chester a nice fit and compliment at corner next to Phillips and four-star signee from Florida Graceson Littleton.

Chester has time to fill out his frame and for the defensive coaching staff to find the best fit for him in the secondary. He's got the perfect size and ranginess in coverage to be a versatile and proficient boundary corner for Texas's defensive secondary in the future in the SEC.
