The transfer wideout that the Longhorns are hosting on campus for a highly anticipated visit to Austin early this week is former Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets sophomore speedster receiver Eric Singleton Jr.

Singleton, the No. 1 transfer in this portal cycle according to 247Sports, is arguably the top priority skill prize target in the transfer portal for the Longhorns entering his visit to Austin in the next 24 hours. His portal recruitment has given him the option to be targeted by almost any P4 school since he brings a sub-10.3-second 100-meter dash speed running track.

It's crazy to think about the potential for Texas's offense next season with Manning throwing to Singleton in Sarkisian's scheme. Singleton has more dynamics to his portal recruitment than just the offensive fit and future quarterback performance that he'll be playing with in the 2025 season.

Texas's track record of recruiting and player development with speedy receivers, like Xavier Worthy, Bond, and Adonai Mitchell, for the NFL Draft under Sarkisian speaks for itself in Singleton's portal recruitment. He has the type of acceleration and explosiveness that could be naturally dynamic with the talent in Sarkisian's Texas offense.

It had been reported that Singleton was scheduled to begin his trip to Austin on Monday (Dec. 16). He's now expected to begin his visit to Texas on Dec. 17 after a visit to Coral Gables to see the Miami Hurricanes early this week.

Singleton included Texas among his five finalist schools that was announced on social media over the weekend, which also included the Ole Miss Rebels, LSU Tigers, Auburn Tigers, and Miami.
