Texas recently gained the commitment of Oregon State OG Dylan Sikorski and he'll most likely compete for the starting job at left guard, but the Longhorns still need to find a starter on the right side.
It's imperative for the team to find an adequate replacement for D.J. Campbell heading into 2026, and these three transfer portal guards have the potential to fill that role immediately for OL coach Kyle Flood.
Joe Brunner - Wisconsin
Brunner is currently ranked as the No.4 transfer portal offensive guard, and for good reason. He has two years of starting experience under his belt, and he was one of the best pass blockers in the Big Ten in 2025.
Brunner is the type of player who could come in and start from day one at either guard spot, and you'd never hear about him again until the 2027 NFL Draft gets here. He's always going to do his job in both phases of the game, and it'll be interesting to see if Texas can lure him to Austin soon.
Donovan Haslam - West Virginia
Haslam flew under the radar in 2025, but when he became an established starter at guard, he took off. He was consistently one of the highest-graded interior linemen over the second half of the season.

He's another player who'd be a shoo-in to start at right guard for the Longhorns in 2026, and he'd be an upgrade over D.J. Campbell as a power-run blocker.
Troy Everett - Oklahoma
Everett is an ex-Sooner, but he has the chance to redeem himself and dominate on the interior for Texas in 2026. He's a surprisingly smooth mover and does a great job of working to the second-level in different zone scheme variations.
He's not "elite" in any one thing but he's capable of being effective in a diverse offense with multiple run schemes like Steve Sarkisian's. He also has experience at center, making him a fairly versatile player who'd undoubtedly raise the floor of Kyle Flood's offensive line.
