Michigan
The Michigan Wolverines is one program around the blue-bloods in college football that needs to upgrade at multiple key positions on the offensive side of the ball to improve the passing attack next offseason. Michigan has been severely lacking top-end speed and high-end playmakers at the skill positions in the receiving corps on offense this season.
Cook seriously considered Michigan among his top schools during his recruitment out of high school. He officially visited Michigan and included the Wolverines among his finalist schools during the 2022 offseason.
Michigan co-offensive coordinator Ron Bellamy built a great relationship with Cook during his recruitment out of high school. The past connection that Cook has with Bellamy as his leading recruiter from Michigan could play a big role if the Wolverines hypothetically kick the tires on pursuing Johntay in the portal during the winter transfer window.
The offensive rebuild that head coach Sherrone Moore and Bellamy need to undertake on the offensive side of the ball in the portal this upcoming offseason could be an appealing option for Cook to be a huge part of, especially if the Wolverines can get a quality new quarterback.
