First-Team All-American senior running back Cameron Skattebo is the leader and the heart and soul of the Arizona State offense. He rushed for over 1,500 yards and 19 touchdowns this season.

Skattebo is about as physical and powerful of a running back that Texas's defensive front has seen this fall. He's the only P4 running back on the ground this season with over 90 missed tackles forced and 1,000 yards after initial contact.

Dillingham has recognized the enormous impact Skattebo had on Arizona State's success winning double-digit games for the first time in a decade this fall.

"He took a team that won three games, and now they've won 10. That takes on his exact identity of him as a person, which is passionate, intense, physical, tough. The team has taken on that identity as a program, which has completely changed the trajectory of the program."

Despite missing one game due to an upper-body injury, Skattebo broke a school record with over 2,000 yards from scrimmage.

Skattebo has plenty of motivation entering Playoff spotlight for the postseason after he feels he was disrespected by the media for the Heisman and Big 12 POY.

"Nobody respects the fact that I'm the best running back in the country. I'm going to stand on that and if people want to disrespect that, then I'm going to keep going. I'm going to keep proving people wrong. "

He was snubbed for the Big 12 Offensive Player of the Year honors for Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders.

Skattebo finished fifth in the Heisman Trophy voting, and was in second place for running backs for the award behind the second-place finisher overall, Boise State's Ashton Jeanty.
