Cade Klubnik, QB
Klubnik has been a real headache this season for teams that faced the Clemson offense in the ACC. He's thrown for well over 3,000 yards this season, a career-high 33 passing touchdowns, and just five interceptions. Klubnik ranked second or third in all major passer stat categories in the regular season in the ACC among quarterbacks.
What really makes Klubnik such a threatening quarterback to opposing defenses is his ability to tuck the football and run with it when the pocket breaks down. Klubnik has over 450 rushing yards and seven rushing touchdowns, highlighting his dual-threat ability at the quarterback position.
Klubnik brings good speed in the open field, being able to break open broken plays and designed QB keepers for big plays with his legs for the Clemson offense. He's got 18 rushes of at least 10 yards this season (per PFF).
It will be crucial for Texas's edge rushers to be able to contain the running threat Klubnik brings. Klubnik can pick up yards in chunks if the Longhorns can't contain the pocket.
Klubnik is having a career-season passing the football. He's posted career highs in every major passing stat category, including over 3,300 passing yards and 33 passing touchdowns.
This is a huge homecoming Playoff game for Klubnik in his hometown of Austin, TX, this weekend against the Longhorns. Klubnik attended Westlake High School in Austin, TX and has faced Texas quarterback Quinn Ewers growing up in 7-on-7 matchups and high school football rivalries.
